Charity Wings

Do you have your wings? Charity Wings (founded by my friend Elena) is a group of crafters passionate to do good and help raise money for noble causes through their crafting. They were out in full force at CHA and I got to write about it for Scrapbook Update. Charity Wings

Cricut Birthday Bash

One of the fun parts of working with Scrapbook Update is that "I" get to cover some of the stuff I LOVE at CHA! One of my tasks was to cover the 5th Birthday celebration for the Cricut. (and I love my bug!) There were special make and takes, a new machine and features and then a PAR-TAY...I wrote all about it at Scrapbook Update. Cricut Celebrates 5th Birthday

Gift for a friend!

I made a gift for a friend last night! (Must have been tired as I woke up covered in sparkle mod podge and wearing my tiara! ...LOL) This is a photo/note clip...it's one of those jumbo paper clips designed to stand on it's "legs" I decorated one side to say "note worthy" for memo's and notes the other side does not have a "label" so she can use it for photos and such if she wants. If you look at the "note" tag I edged it with the new 3 in 1 squeeze corner punch from Fiskars...because you can see where you are punching I was able to overlap the punched out areas

(I love the gemstone flourishes)
Supplies used:Wooden Clothespin (hobby lobby),patterned paper-making memories, My Mines eye, Cardstock- Prism, Canvas flower-Making memories (altered), Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Pashmina), gem stone flourish- Recollections, Gemstones-Want to scrap, Font Cricut, george and basic shapes, butterfly stamp -autumn leaves, corner punch-Fiskars 3 in 1 squeeze corner punch Summer Fun, Ink-Quick Quotes, Ranger Sparkle Modge Podge, Glue dots

Snowed OUT!

I have so much to share about CHA but it will have to wait until I head home. At the moment I am SNOWED OUT of Chicago...(awww shucks) so while my husband and kids dig out from under 2 (to the upwards for 4 where it drifted) feet of snow, my friend Mandie Wade and I were burying our toes in the sand. This was my first time to SEE the ocean and it was amazing. (I will say that I am missing my daughter's birthday so I am a bit disappointed by that but compared to seeing the ocean and not having to deal with snow...I'll get over it)

P.S. Happy Birthday Winter!
I love you and am so proud of the young woman you are becoming!
