Paper Pumpkin

Have you heard of "Paper Pumpkin?" This is a new monthly kit club from Stampin Up! Each month you get a boxed kit loaded with everything you need to create a complete project. I was lucky enough to win a "Paper Pumpkin House Party" sponsored by Stampin Up! and House Party and got to have friends over to try out their newest kit.

Mom haming t up for the camera!

All of us agreed we loved the kits. The feature we liked best was that everything came in the kit except adhesive and a trimmer. There wasn't a need to hunt and find tools, or embellishments, or ink. What you needed came included.
A wonder group to "test" the kits!

Look what I made!
The sentiments for the cards got mixed reviews. The gals loved the "Seriously" theme, but the 2nd part of the sentiment "love your guts" and "you kick butt" just didn't go over well with some of the moms that are fighting 4th grade boys from using that phrase ;)
Hey check it out!

Seriously! (Look what we made!)
The cards were easily adaptable though with an extra set of sentiment stamps! Overall the reviews were positive. We loved the kit, the color choices, and what was included. The only negative was part of the sentiment wasn't appropriate for everyone there. That was easily remedied though and made for some really cute cards.

I Had a Dream...

So have you ever dreamed in food? Well I did. I recently dreamed of cream cheese stuffed french toast with strawberries. I dreamed of this to the point I woke up CRAVING what I was sure a very common delicacy. That being the case I figured I should be able to google "Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast with Strawberries" and find the perfect recipe. Lo and behold NOTHING.

This started me on a quest to come up with my own version. First I found a good filling recipe. Then laying it in between two pieces of raisin bread I used my traditional french toast egg batter. Topping it off with a classic strawberry sauce I made a pretty decent rendition of what I saw in my dream and the taste was out of this world (at least that's what the kids told me :)
